After high school, what did you do, where did you go? I followed a pretty girl (Tracy) to Minnesota. I worked construction there while going to school to become a paramedic.
What are you doing now? In 2007 Tracy and I moved back to the Marshfield area shortly after I began my career with the Marshfield Fire & Rescue department. I’m currently a Deputy Chief for the MFRD, Tracy and I have been married for 19 years, and we have two children; Aiden 17 and Greta 14.
What is your fondest memory from Granton School? My fondest memories of my time at Granton High School are truly too numerous to name. I cannot think of a day during that time of my life when I didn’t laugh. The friend group that I was a part of along with the truly awesome teaching staff of the time, made each day a gift. I’m so thankful for my time in Granton.
What do you think were some of your greatest accomplishments during your time at Granton School? I was not the best student, so I would have to say that I am most proud of my sport’s accomplishments.
Which teacher left the biggest impact on your life and why? I would say it a tie between Mr. Williams and Mrs. Yach. They both believed in me and gave me more chances than I deserved.
If you could give one piece of advice to our current students, what advice would that be? Enjoy each day; smile, laugh, and have fun.
