- After high school, what did you do, where did you go? I studied at UW Platteville for 2 years then transferred to UMD where I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- What are you doing now? Today I work in Duluth MN as a consultant mechanical engineer for the rail industry. I am studying to become a licensed engineer in the state of Minnesota. I just bought my first home with some acreage and a lakefront. I also recently just got my pilots license and hope to continue down that path to one day make a retirement career out of that.
- What is your fondest memory from Granton School? Truly an unanswerable question. Many of my fondest memories took place in the Granton School building. One that comes to mind was during Halloween where I dressed up as Pacman and a few friends dressed up as the ghosts and in between classes I would get chased through the hallways by the ghosts as I tried to make it safely to the next classroom. Still puts a smile on my face today when I think about it.
- What do you think were some of your greatest accomplishments during your time at Granton School? The school/extracurricular balance was truly incredible. To be able to do well in school as well as being successful in sports and organizations was worth all the effort it required.
- Which teacher left the biggest impact on your life and why? Tom Leque. During Tom's short time at Granton, he was able to renovate the shop classroom to greatly improve the classroom's functionality. It was a great in life example of engineering and really helped continue to inspire me to move into the field of engineering.
- If you could give one piece of advice to our current students, what advice would that be? Whatever path you choose for yourself is the right one. Whether that means that's going to college, moving into the work force, or starting a business. Life has a funny way of always working out. Never stop learning and don't be afraid to take your shot.
