On Wednesday, the Marshfield Elks recognized students from 14 school districts for their outstanding achievements in different categories. Granton students honored include Kennedy (Art), Emma (Music), Kaity (Social Studies), Charlotte (Business), Brittany (Family and Consumer Science), Mindy (Leadership), Peter (Agriculture), and not pictured, Hunter (Technical Education). Congratulations!
On Wednesday, 3 senior students were recognized for their participation in the Youth Apprenticeship Program. Students who participate for one year must accumulate 450 hours of employment over the course of the school year. Students who continue into year 2 must accumulate 900 hours of employment during the 2 school years. Students and employers must work together to meet on the job learning and students must also be enrolled in coursework, high school or college, that supports the learning they are doing on the job. A special shoutout to their employers and these students!
