Geography
In geography for sixth graders, students learn about the five themes of geography, locations, physical features, climate and resources, history, and culture.
We will start the year by learning what it means to "think geographically", and gain a better understanding of how geographers (and historians) study the world. We will then explore the main differences between physical and human geography, and how both of these approaches helps us better understand the world around us. The rest of the year will be a tour of major countries in each continent: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
