Elementary Phy Ed
- In class we focus on sport skill building. Students practice and learn how to play different sports and use that knowledge in modified games. Sports we play include Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, and many more.
Middle School Phy Ed
- At this level students use the skills learned in elementary to play various games. This class is year long so the students take one final exam at the end of the second semester. Students also take tests on rules/knowledge of the different sports. Activities include Baseball, Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee, and many more.
High School Phy Ed
All classes participate in a variety of activities throughout the semester, take unit tests, and complete a final exam.
- Lifetime Fitness: Students learn and practice different games and activities they can perform as they grow. Activities include Shuffleboard, Bowling, Pickleball, Outdoor & at home fitness, along with others.
- Team Sports: In this class we focus on those sports/games that require you to work as a team. Sports include Basketball, Football, Baseball, Volleyball, etc.
- Individual/Dual Sports: Students play sports/games that require them to work alone or with a partner. Games include Tennis, Badminton, Golf, Bocce Ball, and others.
- Weightlifting: This class focuses on building strength and endurance. Students learn the importance of working out, muscle groups, and building fitness programs. The majority of class is conducted in the weight room with fitness equipment.
- Women's Fitness: Like weightlifting, studens learn the importance of working out, muscle groups, and building programs. This class is geared more for the endurance and toning of the body. Students perform workouts like yoga, pilates, step aerobics.
High School Health
- In health class students learn topics like Mental Health, Communicable Diseases, Alcohol Tobacco & Other Drugs, and Human Sexuality & Family Life
Middle School Health
- At the middle school level, health topics are broken down to really focus on developmental levels. Sixth grade focuses on Fitness & Nutrition, seventh grade looks at effects of drugs on your body, and eight learn about development and prenancy. All levels discuss mental health, emotional health, safety, and diseases.
