- After high school, what did you do, where did you go? Bachelors degree from UW Oshkosh and Master’s degree from University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri
- What are you doing now? I have lived in Springfield, Missouri since June 2008. I currently serve as the Education Director at a nonprofit agency (The Victim Center) that serves victims of violent and sexual crimes. I am responsible for educating and empowering close to 15,000 youth and adults about self protective skills against child abuse and unhealthy relationship behaviors, and how to identify safe adults. My husband, Brandon is self-employed, he owns a handyman and lawn mowing business, and he has two children, 16 and 14. We are very active in our church, Redeemer Lutheran Church and enjoy spending time with our friends and family.
- What is your fondest memory from Granton School? There are many, most revolve around band trips and FFA trips!
- What do you think were some of your greatest accomplishments during your time at Granton School? 1st runner-up for Fall Festival Queen, FFA Chapter President, Band & Choir involvements, state and conference band & choir
- Which teacher left the biggest impact on your life and why? Ms. Sturzl, she was so encouraging, understanding, and patient. She was a challenging teacher, had high expectations, but she had a great balance between pushing for more and providing support & encouragement. Mrs. Steinbach, she always saw the best in each student and person. She believed in her students, even when they might not believe in themselves. She was always an encourager and constant cheerleader.
- If you could give one piece of advice to our current students, what advice would that be? Don't be afraid to try new activities AND give your very best every day.
