The Title I Reading Program uses a combination of district assessment scores to determine eligibility. Students in grades K-5 are then provided with daily, 30-minute lessons using Fountas and Pinnell's Leveled Literacy Intervention Systems and other interventions based on the student's individual needs. This may include interventions that use a combination of alphabetics and phonics instruction. Our goal is to have every student proficient in the five areas of reading including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
