The school curriculum consists of state required courses plus additional electives. There is a strong vocational agricultural department and a nationally recognized FFA along with an excellent band and fine arts program. Educational opportunities are further enhanced through satellite TV courses in a large variety of disciplines. Multiple modern computer labs, work experience programs, an up-to-date Instructional Media Center, large fieldhouse and swimming pool along with an excellent athletics program make the Granton District a model in the area. Beginning with the 2009-2010 school year, SMARTboard technology is available in 19 classrooms from grades 4K-12! Quite simply, the district is committed to giving teachers the tools necessary to help all students reach their maximum academic potential and the Granton Area School District Board of Education is dedicated to doing what is necessary to help prepare all students for life in the 21st Century! The District has boasted many award winning teachers which include: seven separate teachers earning eight Crystal Apple Teachers of Distinction honors, five Crystal Apple Award winners, two Kohl Fellowship Award winners, and one former Nationally Board Certified teacher, Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow, and Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching Recipient; and numerous other honored and award winning staff. This exemplifies the district's goal of providing excellent educational opportunities to all students. In 2008-2009, Granton High School was again named a New Wisconsin Promise School of Recognition for academic achievement in mathematics and reading. This was the third year in a row that Granton High School was honored with this award. In 2006 both Granton Elementary School (Grades K-8) and Granton High School (Grades 9-12) received this award.
