The Granton Middle/High School has approximately 130 students in grades 7-12. Our typical graduating class is between 10-20 students. This ideal number has allowed our students to receive a high quality, personalized instruction from our excellent staff - at GHS no student is "just a number"!
GHS has established school goals regarding each student. The first goal is each student will earn all C's or higher. Preparing our students for the future requires them to have the necessary knowledge to compete against students from other areas. Next, each student will have one or fewer behavior referrals. Each student will face difficult situations throughout the school year. It is our hope that each student will handle these situations in an appropriate manner. Lastly, any success that our students will have will require them to 'show up.' Students will have 2 or fewer tardies, Four or fewer excused absences and zero unexcused absences.
We are encouraging positive behavior in students with our Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) program. PBIS is a proactive approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture and needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional and academic success.
